A Faith Family Learning to Trust God More

We are a community of people who are in process. We have imperfect, messy lives, but are pursuing and experiencing a transforming relationship with Jesus and with each other. Our one goal is to lead people in a growing relationship with Jesus. We try to do this with every interaction we have - whether on Sunday mornings at our service, or at any of our many ministries and outreaches. Everybody is welcome here, whatever your story, your questions, your doubts, or struggles. We’re all about doing life together in community, being intentional about our growth as people and Christ-followers, and serving one another and our community along the way.

OUR MISSION

OUR CORE VALUES

  • PRAY - To Connect with God through daily personal prayer and regular prayer in groups and gatherings of the church family to saturate my life and the church in prayer.
  • READ - To know God through daily personal Bible reading, group study, and church gatherings as a way for the Holy Spirit to guide and transform me.
  • BELONG - To faithfully mirror God's love by treasuring my church family, protecting unity, and loving without favoritism.
  • DISCIPLE - To actively seek personal discipleship in every season and circumstance of life, and commit to discipling others, from unbelief and lostness to maturity in Christ.
  • CONTRIBUTE - To generously contribute to my church family and God's kingdom by offering my time, resources, and talents.
  • TRUST - To completely trust God in all circumstances, whether blessing or suffering, as modeled by Jesus' life.

Our History & Beliefs

Our church began in 1980 out of the Southern Baptist outreach to the Winter Olympics here in Lake Placid. From the beginning, a small group of believers recognized the unique opportunity they had to share the good news of Jesus Christ with those living in this mountain village and with those visiting from all over the world.

Our church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Baptist Convention of New York, and the Adirondack Baptist Association. We adhere to the Baptist Faith and Message.
